Win your morning, win the market!
For those of you who are looking for our most recent “Tip of the Market”, here it is!
We often try to disassociate ourselves from “life hacks” and over-the-top motivational slogans or quotes (not cause we don’t think they work necessarily, but more so because we can’t stomach the delivery), but it’s hard to deny that a solid morning routine can change the game. It really can.
We think Tim and Chase’s advice in this video is a good start. Optimizing sleep and getting a great start to your day is the easiest way to improve your mood and cognitive function.
So, what do we mean by a great start to the day?
It can easily be summed up by mindfulness, education, exercise and eating right.
Tim and Chase recommend at least ten minutes of mindfulness and reflection every morning. Guided meditations, such as Tara Brach’s Smile Meditation, is a great place to start. Whatever you do, avoid the urge to check your phone and emails/text messages. Trust us –
They will be there when you are finished.
In addition to mindfulness, you should consider getting in a session at the gym and some education (listen to your favourite podcast! Or just listen to ours).
Finally, finish your morning off with a balanced breakfast.
