Tell us a little about the project

Vista is the newest project in West Coquitlam by Dolomiti Homes. The development consists of 76 homes – 1, 2, & 3 bedroom offerings just steps from the Buquitlam Skytrain station. The private sales have commenced and the launch to the public is scheduled for April 6th. You are close to SFU, Rocky Point Park and the Port Moody Breweries. They are very excited about the project.

The development is 6 stories and wood frame construction. It has a rooftop patio that is a shared amenity for the building. It is on Clark Road and has amazing surrounding green space. There is an urban feel with shops and restaurants, but you also get the surrounding nature like Burnaby Mountain and other outdoor attractions.

They have sold 25% of the units to private buyers, but they are excited about the public launch and providing a quality building, close to schools and transit that is priced well. This is great for first time home buyers and investors alike.

Can you talk about the prices and size of units? 

1 Bedroom homes are starting at $375 (500-600 sq ft), 2 Bedroom homes (700-925 sq ft) are $499, 3 Bedrooms (1,000 sq ft) starting at $693. It is a great place to get an entry into the market or for an investor to get a great return on rentals. Rents in the area are approx. $1,400 – $1,800 mth, so it would be a god investment. The places have a great layouts with nice big kitchens, so they are very livable for first time home buyers as well.

Tell us about Dolomiti Homes?

Dolomiti Homes is a boutique Burnaby based construction company. It has 3 partners, including David and his partners (father and son builders). Between them, they have 60 years of combined experience in the construction industry. They have completed townhome developments in Burnaby and Condo developments in Coquitlam. They are a growing company and pride themselves that the partners / owners of the business are involved in the day to day on site decision making at the development. They focus on quality and they have an established record where they specialize in 4-6 story wood frame buildings.

When can we expect completion?

Completion date is expected for spring/summer 2021. They have started site prep at this time and they are moving forward with the project as we speak. Dolomiti prides themselves on adhering to their timelines and building with exceptional quality. They have a track record of not wasting time to ensure people get to move into their new homes faster.

Can you speak to the finishings in the building?

The homes are elegant. They are one color scheme – a lighter scheme that appeals to most people. They have quartz countertops and backsplashes with nice tiles in the bathrooms and showers. Kitchen Aid appliances are standard in the kitchen and there is laminate flooring throughout. They also have modern lighting fixtures and smart home upgrades available that work with google home and other smart devices.

All homes get a parking stall and a storage locker standard. There are upgrades available for purchase of additional ones as well. There is over 4,000 sq ft of amenity space in the building that people also have access to.

Can you tell us about the amenities in the building?

The building has a nice rooftop deck with shared gardens. There are also private rooftop deck areas available for purchase. The rooftop offers 360% views of the North Shore and Lower Mainland. There is a fitness centre on the 2nd floor that walks out on to a patio. There is a children’s play area and other useable spaces for people.

If someone is on the fence, why should they buy at Vista?

Vista is competitively priced offering in a transit-oriented location that is growing. There is an urban feel, but amazing nature and trails steps from your door.
